Welcome to the official website of the Southern France Youth Institute International School, an abroad experience that is a step above traditional programs. Even as we stick to the tradition of abroad programs, putting emphasis on academics and self-strengthening activities, we boast a truly unique experience provided by our outstanding staff and location.
Upon choosing our program, students will find a beautifully restored 18th century town home in the historic French village of Villesèque des Corbières as home base. Here they are deeply immersed in French culture and language, and participate in activities as diverse as interviews with artists, trips to the opera, skiing in the Pyrènèes and travel to Morocco.
As mentioned before, aside from enlightening and exhilarating adventure experiences, academics have priority at the SFYI International School. France native and program founder Nicole Fons, Psy.D., MFT, personally leads each study abroad session. Our group size is purposefully limited, allowing us to personalize the experience to ensure each student's specific goals are fulfilled. In addition, our individualized academic program allows young adults to take courses to meet specific academic requirements while overseas.

SFYI Inernational School is an accredited independent, co-educational boarding school for grades 10-12, plus a 13th or gap year, that provides adolescents with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in European culture and French language, all while pursuing their secondary school diploma and admittance to select US and European colleges and universities.
